Interested in using an emoji as your SMS keyword? If so, you’re going to want to check out Coca-Cola’s HMSHost Holiday Emoji Instant Win Game, which uses the snowflake emoji ❄️ as their SMS keyword.
Coca-Cola’s HMSHost Holiday Emoji Instant Win Game gives participants the chance to instantly win one of more than 1,000 Amazon.com gift card claim codes. The SMS marketing game begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time, November 20, 2016 and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, December 31, 2016.
The best part, this Holiday Emoji Instant Win Game is available in the United States and Canada, as they’ve secured the SMS marketing short code 30364 in both the United States and Canada. If you’re interested in how they did this, and how you can do the same, please read this blog post for more information. For more information on the short code 30364 in the United States, please see their short code profile page here, at the U.S. Short Code Directory.
To participate, all you have to do is visit any HMSHost location, purchase something, and get the 8-digit code off of your receipt. You can see how HMSHost is promoting the SMS marketing Holiday Emoji Instant Win Game in their airport locations below.
An image of a customer receipt with the 8-digit code is below. If you don’t want to make a purchase, you can also get a 8-digit code by entering for free online. To get your 8-digit code during the Holiday Emoji Instant Win Game, visit www.cokeplaytowin.com/hmshostholiday, and follow the links and instructions to complete and submit the registration form, including providing a valid email address. Then, follow the links and instructions to get a free code via email. Once you get the code via email, you then can participate with that code via SMS.
Then you text the snowflake emoji ❄️ to the SMS marketing short code 30364, as you can see in the mobile screenshot below. Before finding out if you’re a winner in the Holiday Emoji Instant Win Game, you must respond with your birth year. The Holiday Emoji Instant Win Game is open to legal residents of the United States and Canada who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. The age response needs to be in the format YYYY, so for me it was “1984”.
After responding “1984”, it asked me to reply with the 8-digit code that was either on the HMSHost receipt, or received via email after filing out the form at www.cokeplaytowin.com/hmshostholiday.
The 8-digit code I received on my receipt was “FLLPIC01”, which I then responded to the text message with. As you can see below, unfortunately I didn’t win, but the good news is that participants can continue to try play the Holiday Emoji Instant Win Game each day up until 11:59:59 p.m. ET, December 31, 2016.

- 100 SECOND PRIZES: A $10 Amazon.com Gift Card claim code.
